Adobe MAX 2023

A woman emerges from an explosion of marshmallows. Adobe Firefly vs Firefly 2

Adobe’s MAX Conference was last week (10-12th October) and they really had some things to show. The first day was mainly focused on the most exciting updates about their generative AI model, Firefly with the new additions to that. Following the success of Adobe Firefly, the second generation model is here with major improvements for smoother creation.“Adobe Firefly Image 2 Model significantly advances creator control and image quality. The next chapter of generative AI for imaging provides larger model capacity and better image generation — making it faster and easier to realize your creative vision and tell your story with high quality outputs.”

Here’s what the update brings:

  • Firefly Vector Model: Text to Vector Graphic lets you create editable vector graphics including Icons, Scenes and Patterns from simple text prompts.

  • Firefly Image Model 2:Major update to Text-to-Image model. The new model comes with a larger model capacity allowing for faster and easier realization of your visions.

  • Generative Match: Allows you to copy the style of an image, I imagine something similar to "reference-only" on Stable Diffusion.

  • Firefly Design Model: Generative Fill and Text-to-Template generation on Adobe Express built on existing features like Text to Image and Text Effects to help you create content faster.

The last day of the event was followed by 11 experimental product releases such as Project Stardust (Object aware photo-editing), Project Primrose (Interactive dress), Project Poseable (Poseable 3D models), and Project Dub Dub Dub (Audio translator with speaker's voice).
